Synopsis:This is the story of a self-made man, of a child in post-war Spain who took refuge in his motorcycle. Nobody had heard his name before and he became one of the most important Spanish sportsmen of all times; Angel Nieto. This is the legend of the winner of 12+1 world motorcycle championships. The documentary takes us through his story which is, at the same time, the history of Spanish motorcycling. "Angel Nieto: 12+1" is a full length documentary about a small, superstitious man who was able to find the motivation he needed and struggle to take things to their conclusion. In races he risked his life and made his strength into an example, leaning out of a window of freedom from a Spain in black and white.
